This week's flower comes with mixed emotions from me. On the one hand, I experience such joy sending happy pictures and thoughts to all of you. On the other, I am feeling a little down and vulnerable after having my house burglarized for the second time in three years. So, I am trying to follow my great-grandmother's advice and "keep my eye on the donut and not on the hole."
The "donut" this week is a bromeliad. If you can make the image larger on your computer, look at the tiny blue tips of the "flower." They're curled like Christmas ribbon. How cool is that?
And you burglars...you have no more of my attention than the weed that is sharing the pot with the bromeliad. I know you are there, but you are insignificant and cannot take beauty away from me or the world.
