ground orchid

I love my iPhone.  I am generally not much of a planner at home, and having the iPhone with me all the time has allowed me to take spontaneous pictures of the flowers in my many tropical gardens.  I grow the plants because it makes me happy.  I generally don't know their names, nor do I care to.  I decided if the plants made me happy maybe they would make other people happy too, so I started to share them with co-workers and friends by email.  I call this endeavor "Friday flowers from Sherree."

Below is the first photo I sent out.  Its a ground orchid.  At first I tried growing it in the ground but it just sat there looking pitiful.  Finally, I put it in a giant pot.  The picture below is the result.  Sometimes where you live is really important!
